Here at WIC we’re a multicultural team that doesn’t believe in barriers. We believe that diversity makes the world a brighter and better place. That’s why we brought Roshanna, Venezuela’s very own Miss Monroe, the girl of a thousand looks, from her home turf in Mexico to our base in Chicago. For seven creativity-filled days we worked closely with her working on new ideas.
Our goal? To develop her dreams into something tangible and something worthwhile. Because that’s what WIC is all about; working with people we admire that will help us grow as a team.
As an individual, model, and blogger, Rossi is an influencer with an excellent connection to her audience. Listening to her audience and connecting with them is what allows her to create opinions, reactions, and stories of real value.
She makes herself and her ideas available to everyone who follows her. Expensive brands are not accessible to everyone, but they aren’t what will make or break your approach to fashion; your creativity will (and she knows it).
We believe that everyone on our team has an indomitable creative spirit, that drives them to go above and beyond what their talents and imagination can do every day.
Rossi has proven herself to be one of those people as well, and we couldn’t be prouder to work with someone so dedicated to her passions. Having her at our HQ and bringing our projects to life with her was an amazing experience!
Roshanna isn’t a new face in the world of fashion. Her experience with her craft allowed
her to develop her own philosophy when it comes to creating outfits: that it’s not so
much about each individual piece, how expensive or renowned the brand, but what you
do with them as a whole.
But it was online where Rossi’s ideas were able to truly shine. Roshanna now interacts
with a much larger audience, but the core of her principles and beliefs stays the same.
She doesn’t limit herself to just the combination of clothes (and the importance of a
good pair of boots; crucial!). Her website, Miss Monroe, has been known to touch upon
the complicated subject of self-esteem, and what life as both a public figure and an
artist can do to it. But in the end it’s all about confidence.
Creating the “perfect look” is less about technique, and more about knowing yourself,
what you’re comfortable with and what you aren’t. It’s not about adhering to stiff trends
and rules that leave no room for different body types, skin tones and the like, but finding
out what works for you specifically, and how you can highlight the best in yourself.
More than simply her looks, her determination, discipline, and can-do attitude have
pushed her to the forefront of fashion blogging as someone willing to try a little bit of
everything, and do an amazing job of it too.
And, because of that, Miss Monroe doesn’t settle for just modelling either. She has also
dabbled in acting, as well as makeup artistry (of course!), which goes hand in hand with
fashion.
During the time Rossi was here, not only did we have a fun time introducing her to
Chicago, we also got the opportunity to get to know and experience her creative
process more in depth. We got out into the city creating content and telling stories while
documenting everything on social media. We also got to develop new projects with her.
Projects we are so excited tell you about. So stick around because very soon we will tell
you about them!
As a creative agency, we look to creation as our starting point. That’s why we’ve set out
to launch one special project each year that represents what we want: ONE WIC
PROJECT. We’re looking for you!
If you, like Rossi, have a project set aside, a proposal, an idea you’re passionate about
or if just by reading these lines you’re thinking of that friend of a friend of your sister who
has a great idea, let us know!
